This catalog was created for the college course Book Design. At the start of this project, we were introduced to the artist John Cage; one of the most influential avant- grade composers and performers of the 20th Century. Asked to create a catalog of any of his artistic works, I decided to feature a selection of his physical pieces, translating his complex orchestral rhythm onto the page in visuals. My aim was to make no two spreads alike, creating a unique composition for each. Samples of text from his autobiography transform into texture, and graphics derived from my own photography find their way scattered through the catalog.
